    We're passionate about cats. As cat Mums ourselves we understand how difficult it is leaving your cat in the care of others. We would like to assure you that we're committed to providing the perfect environment for your cat. Each cat's emotional needs are different, especially in a new place. Our calm understanding approach to your cat will ensure a holiday is a positive experience for you and your cat.

  2. Designed for your cat

    We carefully considered all of the cat's needs and psychological requirements throughout every stage of the design and build of the hotel. Our own experience of cats and the advice of a number of feline professionals has enabled us to design this truly magical kitty living space.

  3. Home from home

    Living on site allows us to provide a home from home holiday experience for your cat. Our working day in the hotel starts at 7.00am and finishes around 8.00pm. We visit all of our guests a minimum of 4 times a day and they are never left for more than 4 hours within the working day.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Helen for over 10 years. From the day we first met I knew she had a huge passion for animals. From her looking after horses with the upmost of care to nursing an injured chicken back to health. No animal is off limits! Helen has always cared for cats ever since I have known her and been instrumental in getting stray cats neutered as well as looking after her own feline family. It is no surprise that she has fulfilled her ambition to open a luxury cat hotel, something that she has been passionate about for some time. I know Helen looks forward to welcoming her first guests into their accommodation for a purrr-fect relaxed cat holiday.

Woodys Holiday September 2020

Woody our beloved 15 year old Burmese cat had just spent ten days as a vip guest at the ‘Cats Other Mother’ cattery. We were unsure about putting him in a cattery due to his age and having just lost his brother. We needn’t have worried - he had the time of his life. He was relaxed and happy and had made friends with Helen the owner and genuinely seemed pleased to see her. Got the distinct impression he didn’t want to come home. We received several messages and pictures whilst we were on holiday which was very reassuring and which clearly made us appreciate how well he was being looked after and how happy he was. Cannot praise this cattery enough. Wonderful caring staff and fabulous surroundings for your cats needs. This is without doubt the Ritz for your beloved pet. Big thanks Steve and Lisa.

My two new additions have spent just over two weeks at the Cats Other Mother’ cattery. The boys settled in so well! They were very relaxed and happy and didn’t look too Bothered when I had to leave them! Helen kept me updated throughout the two weeks with pictures and I could see how settled the boys really were in there home from home! They posed a lot so seemed to enjoy having regular photoshoots! The boys loved spending time With Helen and Jan, so much so they are there for their second stay! The boys were treated like kings and I’m Not sure they will want to leave! Thanks to Helen for making sure I can relax on holiday Knowing the boys are cared for and spoilt! Thanks again Emma

    I’m a real home bird and love design and decorating. When planning the rooms I wanted them to be a good mix of luxury and home comforts. Our own cats have been a great source of inspiration, I know how they love to sit in the window on a rainy day and watch the droplets and me getting wet outside.

    Directions

    Please read the following directions before starting your journey to us. Most satnavs will try and direct from the west side of Prestolee Road which is an unmade track and is very difficult to drive along.

    If you use the postcode M26 1FA this will take you to the correct entrance for Prestolee Road. Do not turn down Shoretop Farm Lane look for the signs for the Cat Hotel at the end of Prestolee Road. Please note this is not our postcode but it is the best to get to the cattery.

    The Cat’s Other Mother is only 200 metres on the left hand side of Prestolee Road. Do not turn into Bridge Street at The Grapes pub.
